The Motorwërks Team

Sunil Patel

After finishing medical school, Sunil began modifying his own 2003 Mercedes C320 with minor installations and upgrades as he found fit. After slowly learning the ins and outs of the vehicle, Sunil quickly modified his Mercedes with options both not originally available at purchase and, later on with options, not even available on a C-class. Within time, Sunil has completely gutted his Mercedes and restored it back at least 10 times, each time successfully adding newer and riskier modifications. Networking with local dealerships around Houston, Sunil was able to offer his talents to customers that recently purchased new vehicles and desired options that were not originally purchased. While preparing for his medical exams, Sunil often installed iPod kits, Bluetooth interfaces and AMG accessory equipment on Mercedes vehicles as a temporary source of income. Gaining popularity among local customers and the MBWorld internet forum, Sunil quickly became known as the "Mercdoc" and often provided solutions and advice to fellow Mercedes-Benz owners around the world.

In October 2007, Sunil ceased practicing medicine and dedicated his efforts to building up the Motorwërks culture. In less than one year of operations, Motorwërks has thrived into a viable niche business and a favored fan club for European vehicle owners. Currently, he manages daily business operations, consults with new customers and continues to work alongside his technicians, repairing and modifying vehicles. Beyond Motorwërks, Sunil is married to his beautiful physician wife, Shruti, and enjoys volunteering his time to the local community.

Hunter Wright

Hunter became part of the Motorwërks team initially as a customer and soon after, as a valued employee. Hunter brought in a 2006 BMW 325i as one of our first few customers after Motorwërks began operations. Slowly learning that Motorwërks is capable of modifying virtually anything, Hunter allowed Motorwërks to complete most of his requests for his custom work. After a few weeks of continuous modification to his 325i, Hunter became a permanent employee to the Motorwërks culture. His BMW 325i has earned Hunter a feature in January 2009’s Eurotuner Magazine, “Wright of Passage,” with Motorwërks as the modification house for the vehicle.

Hunter is now head of consulting on performance products for majority of the BMW models. His expertise has gained numerous customers and brought in several BMW loyalists to Motorwërks. Hunter has since sold his BMW 325i and upgraded to a 2008 BMW 335i coupe. Similarly, Hunter has exposed his new BMW 335i to every top-of-the-line modification possible, with an estimated output of over 500HP. Beyond Motorwërks, Hunter is an undergraduate student at the University of Houston, currently earning a Bachelors of Science in Marketing.
